Being a PB fan is always full of surprises. I was watching some Youtube videos and I decided to play "The Lakes of Pontchatrain" and I look up and... "Wait... is that the guy from Vulfpeck!?!?" Keep the surprises coming.
All the best,
Brendan
P.S.
When things get something back to normal, We'd love to see you on the West Coast. I can't believe I missed you at Yoshi's last time you were here.
Hope you enjoy the show as much as we will.
I absolutely adore your songs = The World is What You Make It, Nobody Knows and Nothing But The Same Old Story. I find I connect with the lyrics on a deeper level. I wonder is it me or was there an intention on your part to have an esoteric aspect within those songs in specific? I also find that in other Irish artists songs.
If my intuition is correct, I would be interested to hear your thoughts on the testing times we have faced these past two years.
Best wishes to you and yours,
Regards, Christine

Many times , over many years I meant to contact you .I love your music .In 1978-1979 I worked in Altnagelvin and met your late mother .She was so very very proud of your music and what you were trying to achieve ( at that time). .I remember her as a beautiful , gentle lady who clearly adored her son .
Happy memories of that time and meeting your lovely mother .
Best wishes for your future health and happiness .

A few months ago, I came across your music on Spotify- specifically “The Lakes of Pontchartrain.” I’m familiar with the song, but wow- loved your rendition. I started looking through all your work, and I’ve realized that only a fraction of your music is on Spotify, the streaming service I use.
Do you have any plans to release any more albums for streaming?
Lastly, I just want to tell you that you’ve really inspired me to take my playing and singing to the next level- you’re a legend. Wish I could come see you, but I live in Louisiana. I’ll keep an eye on your tour dates.
Peace.
Saw you over a decade ago at Kuumbwa Club in Santa Cruz. California. It was memorable. Hope you and a few other Irish musicians can return someday soon.
Where I belong (Spain) there are not enough access to the Irish-folk music like yours. A few weeks ago I was listening to one playlist and then your song "Arthur Mcbride" appeared and just blew my mind. Awesome guitar playing with open G tuning and also a beatiful voice. Love the way you sang that song and the way you mixed it with your guitar skills.
Searching in the net I found this website and red some of your kind replys of this guestbook. That touched my heart.
Now I'm trying to learn that song of one Arthur Mcbride. I saw you posted some tabs but the archives must be fallen. Could you let me know where I can find these tabs in order to learn it. that would be amazing. A spanish guy on his 30's trying to sing that lovely song.
Hope everything is going well in your life Paul.
Best whises
Daniel
You have incredible control over your singing voice, the likes of which I've never heard before, and I can't get enough. I hope to see you perform one day. Your guitar skills are also extremely tight and it's obvious you really care about your music. Thanks for all the fantastic moments you've shared over the years!
Cheers,
Fintan
Been a fan for decades. I have seen you in Belfast many times. Before the lockdown there was supposed to be a gig in Donegal - "an evening with" or something like that. Did it ever happen or any plans to reschedule? If you ever do I'll try and make it and can you please play a little-known number lurking at the end of Spirits Colliding called Beautiful World? It takes my breath away every time. So sad and poignant and I'd love to hear it sung live.
Your music has accompanied me through thick and thin and there's always an appropriate song for the moment. My now grown kids were subjected to you from a young age. Dunno if I've quite managed to convert them but I like to think your music is in their heads and one day will out!!
So glad to read on here there's still more songs to discover after all these years.
just listening to a playlist with my favourite Tina Turner-recordings in the middle of the night, and when "Paradise is Here" came on I felt the need to look for your homepage... so here I am.
All I can say, being a singer/songwriter myself (mostly busking,,, which is no
easy task as one gers older... lol... I'm 56 years of age now!): What a great list of songs and collabs (including one of my forever heroes Carole King... I honestly envy you for this and, btw, love that album, I think it's madly underrated!)...
hats off to everything you have achieved (and given to the world of music).
I hope you're safe and well during these difficult times, thanks for all the listening pleasure.... (neither covers of your songs nor Carole's are to be found
on my site, sry... !) please stay healthy and may god bless you and your loved ones.... that's all I wanted to say... yours - Roop
Hope you and your family are keeping well in these tough times. Glad to have the opportunity to thank you for sharing your wonderful talent.
Kind regards, Tara
Thanks so much for your music and beautiful voice!!
Just watching a re-run of your appearance on the 'Transatlantic Sessions' - you are a legend both nationally and internationally.
For the many, many years of musical pleasure you have given me and millions of others around the world I thank you sincerely.
Yours in music,
Mick

Hello Paul,
Can't wait for tonight's concert at the Festival Hall. Those Johnstons' days seem very far away now but I was 17 and am now 70 and still loving the music and my husband of 51 years who introduced me to it.
Hi Paul,
So pleased to see you are on tour this year in the Transatlantic Sessions. I am hoping to get to the Bridgewater Hall show and introduce my wife to your great music. Any chance you will perform that great song, Crazy Dreams there?
Hi Paul ,
Hello Paul, thanks for including guitar tabs on this website, very useful.
Dear Mr. Brady,
Hi Paul. Please can you tell me if you ever made the DVD of the brilliant tour from a few years ago with Andy, Donal and Kevin. We managed to see you all at the Barbican and it was such a memorable evening we loved it. Having first seen you at a smalll local folk club when I was still at school in 1968 (I am now 70 years young), it brought back so many wonderful memories. Take care - I am truly hoping Festival Hall concert goes ahead in February now. All good wishes.
Hi Paul, do you have any plans to tour in England at all? London? Would love to see you live! With best wishes and thanks, Imogen
Would so love to see Paul in concert. Any possibility of coming over to London? Cadogan Hall? Royal Albert Hall? Would be FAB.
Dear Mr. Brady! I hope you are doing very well! A fruend of mine, a well known guitarist from The Netherlands, Cor Mutsers, advised me to check out your music, as he and his wife are big fans of your music and guitar stylings.. I started watching some of the tracks on Youtube and I like them very much. I play guitar myself, playing Bluegrass. Of course I knew your name, but never was very familiar with your music, but that will soon change. My friend asked me a question - as I have among other guitars, a Yamaha LL36. He thought that one of your early guitars was such a model. I told him that this model is much newer, but that Yamaha made and still makes some pretty good guitars. He would like to know - and so do I - on which model and year Yamaha guitar you used to play early in your carriere (or maybe still. Thanks you very much, lots of fun and success playing music and stay healthy. Dennis Schut, Bad Aussee, Austria

Hi Paul!
Hi Paul,
Hi Paul,
Hello Paul...
Hi, just wanted to thank you for the wonderful music that you create and share. I've recently discovered your music and I've been blown away by your skill and the emotions that you put into your music. I can't get enough!!
Hi Paul, I started listening to you back in the 1970s in our bedsit we played our Johnston's Vinyl LP so much we all knew the words by heart of "Continental Trailways Bus" I was totally blown away when I heard and saw Arthur Mc Bride at a Cinema in Dublin mid - seventies and everything that you have done since then you just keep getting better and better. I have admired your music so much that I have sent Vinyl Albums to France , England and lots to my friends in Ireland. I also turned Steve Cooney onto your music within days of him arriving in Ireland and took him to one of your concerts I knew that as a fellow musician that he would be blow away with your music I think that he may have got to play with you at some stage. Your voice your songs touch the heart and your guitar playing and musicality are exceptional and world class. When my friend who has been listening to music for the past 40 years heard "Nobody Knows" she said that this song touched her like no other song had. That's what you do to people with your incredible music I am wishing a long and continued successful career I have been to many of your concerts and hope to attend many more in the future. Very best regards John M Dublin
I came across your definitive arrangement of Arthur McBride yesterday, it's completely extraordinary, there is probably too much overlapping in this 7-minute space to properly catalogue...... I woke up with the whole thing in my head immediately this morning.. have watched and listened 20 or so times today, researched the song, watched interviews with you in them, and am now on the Tube and this site here sourcing tab etc to learn this ... I wish I'd known your arrangement when I had a more powerful voice.... going to have to start doing more sit-ups when the Gyms open!!
Hi Paul,
