Great album Paul did you record the track “To Be the One” on a previously released album – sounds familiar. All lyrics. very emotional, mean a lot to me. Look forward to seeing you in Bangor later in the year.

Hi Carinthia. Thanks for your message. I hope ear worm is good? There’s a story behind the song which you can find in my website store on the ‘Maybe So’ page.

    Hi George
Yeah I re-recorded it. The original was on ‘Back To the centre’ album from 1985. It’s a long story! Also ‘Love Goes On’was originally on ‘Trick Or Treat’

    Hi Paul,
I’m from Germany and I love your music!
The new Album is great…thanks. I own all your CD’s.
I first came into contact with your Album “Primitive Dance” in my regular pub “Tom’s Hütte” in Bad Ems. The pub owner (Tom died unfortunately 01.01.20) was also a fan of Irish music.
Over the years I bought all your Albums and these find their way again and again in my CD-Player…

    Hello Paul.

I just discovered “Maybe So”, which I love, so much so, I’m awaiting 10 more CD’s from your catalogue.
I must admit, I had never heard your music before, but instantly fell in love with your melodies & voice. Such a shame I was not aware of your music for 40 + years, but thrilled to have discovered it now !
Never too late for a new fan. Thank you !

    Hi Paul

Have been big fan of yours for many years and have enjoyed your performances at Cork Opera House throughout the years. As a guitarist myself I’m interested in the fact that you appear to be using microphone on stage for your guitar rather than a pickup. Is that a recent occurrence and was it a choice to get the most authentic spund from the guitar rather than using built in piezo pick up or soundhole pickup?

    Kind regards

    Jim W Cork

Just listened to your new CD.
    LOVELY!!!
I believe I have ALL your CD;s in my collection and may you never stop playing and making music.
    🙂
I have had the pleasure of seeing you twice in NYC, by the way, and hope you will return again soon.
    Happy birthday, by the way!!!

    Hi Jim
Thanks for the message. Sorry this took a while. Yeah, I’ve never liked the pick up sound especially when I’m performing solo. The mic is a much more natural and dynamic sound. It also means I don’t have to have a separate sound desk channel for each instrument I play, which makes sound checks a lot shorter.

Thanks Richard. Sorry this took a while. Glad you like the CD! I’m exploring the poss of a New York visit next April or May. More as it develops. Paul
