Hello Paul
Just heard your new album "Maybe So". Really great and moved me a lot. This is the music that accompanied my life particularly intensively and emotionally in the 80s and 90s.
Thanks for that.
I switched back to vinyl. It would be nice if this album would also be released on vinyl.

Greetings from Diekholzen (Germany)
Ewald

Thanks Ewald. Glad you like the record. We had hoped to have it on vinyl too but we’d have to wait 9 months. Global pressing plants are full up.

Hi Paul.
Thank you for a fantastic evening at the National Opera House in Wexford yesterday evening. Been waiting for the opportunity to listen to your live performance since the Hard Station days and you certainly didn’t disappoint. You even gained a new fan in my wife Marta who was extremely impressed by your musicianmanship and singing.

Hi Martin
Your message temporarily disappeared. Now it’s back! Thanks for the kind words. I enjoyed the show too you were a great audience to okay for! Glad Marta had fun! Paul

Hi,
You were in great form at the Town Hall Galway on Friday. I think “If it wasn’t for the crocodiles. I would sleep out in the woods”
Is a great line. Hope you’ll be back soon.

Thanks Derek. Great to be back doing it. I’m so enjoying playing again. Glad you enjoyed the show! Paul

Hi Paul, I was just thrilled to see last night that you have reissued the album The Green Crow Caws. It is a real favourite of mine, and it was great to be able to buy it online. I have an old scratched LP which came from my mother's collection. It still plays--just! But the download is a real treat to have, and sounds better than ever. (My vinyl copy of Hard Station is still in perfect condition, and enjoyed frequently of a Friday evening here in Redcastle!) Thank you so much for all your wonderful work and talent, we have always been huge fans in this house. I hope you and yours are keeping safe and well. Beir bua agus beannacht

I always liked the album Helen and was frustrated it was unavailable for so long. Great it’s back in circulation. Glad you’re enjoying it! Paul

Hi Paul, what a Show! We were overwhelmed by the power , emotion and obvious fun you seemed to have, too.. Yes, it was us in the Restaurant. and front row. We were so happy to see you and your wife there in good health and we did not want to disturb your privacy. I am sure we come over again to see you somewhere soon. All the best to you and Mary! Hi Paul, we're listening to your music since more than 30 years and always wanted to see you live. COVID let to postponements and we're now finally ready to fly to Dublin on Friday this week. I hope you're recover soon from COVID and you're able to play Athlone. We cannot wait another 20 years! All the best and good health soon!

Hi Paul, just to say that 'the lakes of Pontchartrain" is probably one of my favourite songs of all time.. I mean your version. Out of curiosity, I had a look online to see if there was an original version but I couldn't find one. But anyway, if there were, I'm sure it wouldn't be equal to yours, because it's not only the song or melody. but the way you use your voice, so meloncholically and emotionally. ( I feel that those two adjectives don't really express what I mean ,😂) but I can't find the right ones.). Anyway, your songs.and voice are amazing. Thanks a million for being in my life!!!! ❤️
Admin Reply by: Paul Brady
Thanks Terry. It was good to find a song that was such a great vehicle to carry that indefinable emotion. You couldn't but feel that you are in the story with lyrics like that!

Hello Paul,

Being a PB fan is always full of surprises. I was watching some Youtube videos and I decided to play "The Lakes of Pontchatrain" and I look up and... "Wait... is that the guy from Vulfpeck!?!?" Keep the surprises coming.

All the best,
Brendan

P.S.
When things get something back to normal, We'd love to see you on the West Coast. I can't believe I missed you at Yoshi's last time you were here.
Admin Reply by: Paul Brady
Indeed you are right, Brendan. Theo Katzman and I did a bunch of shows in Ireland back in 2018. You might have missed that another VP member, Joe Dart on bass was also in the band. Louis Cato on drums and Lee Pardini on keys rounded it off. I had a ball. there are other tracks from those gigs on Youtube as well. Enjoy!

Can't wait for tonight's concert at the Festival Hall. Those Johnstons' days seem very far away now but I was 17 and am now 70 and still loving the music and my husband of 51 years who introduced me to it.
Hope you enjoy the show as much as we will.

Hi Jane, thanks for your message. Yeah, The Johnstons takes us both back! I hope you enjoyed the London show. I did too. My daughter and grand daughter were there which made it special. Keep enjoying the music! Paul

Hi Paul,
I absolutely adore your songs = The World is What You Make It, Nobody Knows and Nothing But The Same Old Story. I find I connect with the lyrics on a deeper level. I wonder is it me or was there an intention on your part to have an esoteric aspect within those songs in specific? I also find that in other Irish artists songs.

If my intuition is correct, I would be interested to hear your thoughts on the testing times we have faced these past two years.

Best wishes to you and yours,

Regards, Christine
Admin Reply by: Paul Brady
Hi Christine, thanks for your message. Glad you like the songs. There isn't a particular esoteric aspect to them. I guess we all have a spirit and I'm just trying to express mine. These times have been very hard on all of us. I'm not sure what to make of it all. I think isolation has been the worst thing to deal with. I'm delighted to be back out playing for people! Stay well, Paul.

So pleased to see you are on tour this year in the Transatlantic Sessions. I am hoping to get to the Bridgewater Hall show and introduce my wife to your great music. Any chance you will perform that great song, Crazy Dreams there?

Andy

Hi Andy, hope you managed to get to the Manchester show. Sorry i didn't do Crazy Dreams. it wasn't just a Paul Brady show and the material I picked was done with suiting the Transatlantic Sessions band line-up. Hope you enjoyed it if you made it along. Paul

Dear Mr. Brady,

A few months ago, I came across your music on Spotify- specifically “The Lakes of Pontchartrain.” I’m familiar with the song, but wow- loved your rendition. I started looking through all your work, and I’ve realized that only a fraction of your music is on Spotify, the streaming service I use.

Do you have any plans to release any more albums for streaming?

Lastly, I just want to tell you that you’ve really inspired me to take my playing and singing to the next level- you’re a legend. Wish I could come see you, but I live in Louisiana. I’ll keep an eye on your tour dates.

Peace.

Hi James, thanks for your message and the kind words. I'd be interested in seeing which albums of mine you say aren't on Spotify. Maybe send some info to peebeemusic@gmail.com?
Thanks. Paul

Hi Paul. Please can you tell me if you ever made the DVD of the brilliant tour from a few years ago with Andy, Donal and Kevin. We managed to see you all at the Barbican and it was such a memorable evening we loved it. Having first seen you at a smalll local folk club when I was still at school in 1968 (I am now 70 years young), it brought back so many wonderful memories. Take care - I am truly hoping Festival Hall concert goes ahead in February now. All good wishes.

Hi Jane, Thanks for your message and apologies at the delay in replying. I thought I'd already posted this. Unfortunately there is no commercially released DVD of that tour. But the Festival Hall gig with Transatlantic Sessions went ahead on Feb 11. Hope you made it along. Best wishes, Paul

Dear Mr. Brady! I hope you are doing very well! A fruend of mine, a well known guitarist from The Netherlands, Cor Mutsers, advised me to check out your music, as he and his wife are big fans of your music and guitar stylings.. I started watching some of the tracks on Youtube and I like them very much. I play guitar myself, playing Bluegrass. Of course I knew your name, but never was very familiar with your music, but that will soon change. My friend asked me a question - as I have among other guitars, a Yamaha LL36. He thought that one of your early guitars was such a model. I told him that this model is much newer, but that Yamaha made and still makes some pretty good guitars. He would like to know - and so do I - on which model and year Yamaha guitar you used to play early in your carriere (or maybe still. Thanks you very much, lots of fun and success playing music and stay healthy. Dennis Schut, Bad Aussee, Austria

Hi Dennis, sorry this took a while. Yes I did play a Yamaha FG180 that I bought in early 1967. I loved it but eventually it got damaged in 1979. Nowadays I play guitars made in Ireland called Lowden.
